Shell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill – New Haven

Shell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill will be open on Christmas Eve from 11-8pm.  A la carte specials, in addition to the regular menu, will include Roasted Chestnut Soup ($12), Cumin Crusted Loin of Tuna ($42), Rack of Lamb ($44) and Eggnog Panna Cotta ($12), as well as cocktail specials including Hot Spiced Apple Cider ($6).  Reservations can be made by visiting shellandbones.com, or calling 203.787.3466.

CLOSED on Christmas Day

Shell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill will be open on New Year’s Eve, with seating’s until 11pm and the raw bar open until midnight.  A complimentary toast will be held at midnight to accompany the ball drop on television, with live music by Mama Cheetah.  The restaurant’s famous Shells and Bubbles ($165) will be available, including a Tower of Shells (North Atlantic Lobster, Lump Crab, Shrimp Cocktail, Oysters, Clams, Ceviche, Crudo, Cocktail Sauce and Mignonette) and a bottle of Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs.  Other a la carte specials, in addition to the regular menu, will include Foie Gras Tourchon ($22), Two Way Duck ($40), Burgundy Braised Seabass ($42) and Baked Alaska ($14).  Reservations can be made by visiting shellandbones.com, or calling 203.787.3466.

Camacho Garage will be open Christmas Eve from 11-8pm with its a la carte menu.  Reservations can be made via camachogarage.com or by calling 203.691.1969.  The restaurant is also offering a special takeout package – including posole, tamales de rajas, pork ribs, birria pizzadilla and churros – for $125 (serves four) with optional add-on margarita kits ($49 for mini or $99 for party).  Pre-order via phone by December 23 for pick-up on Christmas Eve between 12-6pm.
