SO, WHAT’S NEXT?
It’s amazing how fast 60 days has passed since the two week shut down order was announced and we received our exemption allowing us to remain open. I am thankful that we were able to be here to help so many students finish their final projects and so many parents with home schooling and art projects.
While the rest of the state may have started reopening Wednesday, I don’t plan on changing how I have operated for the last two months until I see what happens. I will continue to keep my staff off the sales floor and run it alone until I am sure it is safe.
Here is a review of how I’m doing it.
  • I will continue to be open from 10-4 seven days a week. We will review this on June 1st and see if we can expand our hours.
  • I will be closed this coming Sunday & Monday in observance of Memorial Day.
  • The door will be locked. Please knock politely and wait to be let in.
  • Occupancy will be limited to 3-5 customers at a time.
  • I will let you in if you have a pretty good idea of what you need. Still no casual browsing at this time.
  • Masks are required.
  • If there is a line outside please be considerate and shop as quickly as possible.
  • Anyone waiting outside the store must maintain social distancing of at least six feet.
  • We have hand sanitizer at the checkout counters.
  • I am continuing to clean and sanitize on a continual basis but I ask that you touch product as little as possible. Consider products in your mind rather than them picking them up and pondering before deciding on purchase.
  • We will continue to offer curbside pickup as well as free delivery anywhere in CT if you are uncomfortable or unable to come in the store.
Since some of our framing suppliers have now opened I will begin accepting custom framing orders this week and also hope to be able to finally begin our annual Spring Ready-Made Frame Sale in June – details to follow. Custom Framing Design Services will not be available on Sundays for the time being.
Feel free to stop by if you have needs. You may also order online for pick up during store hours or for local deliveries which I do after closing time at www.hullsnewhaven.com, via email at shawn@hullsnewhaven.com or by phone at 203-865-4855. If I am helping customers I may not have time for a lengthy phone conversation so it’s best to email any lists and I will respond as soon as possible.
Thank you all for your past and continued support,
Shawn Szirbik
