Tomorrow’s Winter Solstice Walk has been Postponed
A Wintry Walk at historic Edgerton Park
New Date: Friday, December 31, 5 – 9 p.m.
Update: The Winter Solstice Walk has been postponed on account of the weather forecast. The new date is December 31.
Edgerton Park will be aglow on the last day of the year, Friday, December 31, with over 1,000 luminary lanterns and light sculptures made by local artists. Learn about the art and science of light by visiting our large interactive display using projected red, green, and blue light — a giant version of one of our popular projects.
Blended Lights Projects will be available for purchase ($10) — a portion of the proceeds will support Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS).
Entry to the park is free!
Gates open to the public at 5 p.m.
A Solstice Gift
Sunday, December 19, 1 – 3 p.m.
Join educator and artist Eunice Mahler to create a traditional New England beeswax candle and a festive hardwood candlestick holder. (Young children will need an adult partner.) $10 per person
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Let There Be Light International, a foundation that provides sustainable solar lights to families in Sub-Saharan Africa.
